An important factor to take in consideration is to monetize the content which you are typing into your blog or posts.

In order to monetize the content of your blog, you will need to sign up to a third party website which will put ads on your blog. When someone clicks that link, you will get paid. Its really simple.
But there is a catch.

Depending on what program you sign up with, they can place the ads on your blog which will 'Break' the content. With this i mean that it will overpower your content and will result in the reader to turn down the page as per too much advertisement.

The secret of doing so is just to have one or two banners on that website which links in with your content.

Never put this in the middle, on top or below your blogposts as this will definately hinder your readers. They will either be put off of your content, or they will think you are out there just to advertise and make money ( with no intent on educating them)

What i am doing is putting a small eye catching advertisement in the right upper corner of my blog so it is not overpowering and it catches the eye ( + it contains similar information of my content)
